The underrated bicycle
The bicycle is still the most efficient mode of transportation ever invented. A person on a bike expends about 1/5th the energy of walking, getting the equivalent of about 3,000 miles per gallon, far more efficient than any animal.
Similarly, Qi Gong and Chinese medicine are based on the most efficient and remarkable systems of understanding human health, a far better, more intricate understanding than Western medicine which focuses not on health, but on sickness and disease. The Chinese had a lot longer (about 4,000 years) to work it.
