The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone
And the peaceful, magical, mystical energy of Scottish Greenstone (Iona Marble)
Here’s what I know for sure: people are people and deserve respect as human beings and fellow travelers on this planet, no matter what, no matter what. It’s the only way to have peace.*
I also know God has a way of using even the most outcast of outcasts: “The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22).
This applied to young David who later became king (after running for his life for 20 years away from King Saul who became jealous of him when he worked in the palace AFTER he was already anointed the next king by the prophet Samuel), Jesus who was labeled a criminal for “blaspheme” and put to death, and it applies to all who allow the potter to mold us for his glory, including pariahs of all descriptions, particularly those rejected by the self-righteous religious spirit that has held much of organized religion captive.
Even now, God is using prophets who are not educated, or have been called weird, or who are disabled, etc. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if God is raising up a new generation of people from all walks of life including transgender people to preach his Word in a new compelling way in the coming years.
*For some reason this is not as ingrained in northern cultures as much as in southern cultures. But today all cultures are being influenced by the entertainment and mass media.
Today’s Meditation on PEACE:
Close your eyes and focus on your heart. Accept perfect peace. (Remember, whatever you focus on has a way of magnifying.)
Imagine what your life would look like if it were filled only with peace.
How would you feel different?
What would you do differently?
